ABSTRACT:

Natural beauty, hospitable population, rich culture and tradition, as well as gastronomic specialties, are just some of the reasons why the municipality of Štrpce is known as a favorite tourist destination for numerous visitors, both from the country, the region, and the world. The boom in tourism that began in the 1980s with the construction of well-known hotel facilities at Brezovica and the Ski Center did not last long. After 1999, tourism, due to the state of war, faced numerous challenges and problems. The analysis of the state of tourism and the connection between tourism and certain agricultural activities in the municipality of Štrpce is the subject of research in this paper. The aim of the paper is to indicate how these economic sectors together can influence the sustainable economic development of this area, primarily in light of enabling the population to earn a living, live from their work, and remain in their homes. Considering the fact that tourism development is strongly interconnected with the development of agriculture, it will also be examined how the production of šar cheese, raspberry farming or beekeeping influence or may influence tourism activities. The authors of the paper strive to provide specific guidelines based on the analysis that would be useful to various entities, from catering workers, to tourist bureaus and organizations, to households, to decision-makers at various levels.

САЖЕТАК:

Природне лепоте, гостољубиво становништво, богата култура и традиција као и гастрономски специјалитети, само су неки од разлога зашто је општина Штрпце позната као омиљена туристичка дестинација бројним посетиоцима, како из земље, тако и региона и света.  Замах у туризму који је почео осамдесетих година прошлог века изградњом познатих хотелских капацитета на Брезовици и на Ски центру, није дуго трајао.  После 1999. године, туризам се, услед ратних дешавања, суочава са бројним изазовима и проблемима. Анализа стања у туризму као и повезаност туризма са појединим пољопривредним активностима у  општини Штрпце је предмет истраживања овог рада. Циљ рада је указати како ове привредне гране заједно могу утицати на одржив економски развој овог подручја, пре свега у светлу омогућавања становништву да привређује, живи од свог рада и остане на својим огњиштима. Узимајући у обзир чињеницу да је развој туризма у јакој међусобној спрези са развојем пољопривреде, биће испитано како производња шарског сира, малинарство и пчеларство утичу или могу утицати на туристичке активности. Аутори рада настоје да, на основу спроведене анализе, дају конкретне смернице које би биле корисне различитим субјектима, од угоститељских радника, преко туристичких бироа и организација, домаћинстава, па до доносиоца одлука на различитим нивоима.
